Yup, the Pirates are smokin right now, winners of 4 in a row and 6 of their last 8.
- The Pirates won last night, putting them one win away from the magical 5 outta 7 that was needed from these last two series. A win tonight and one tomorrow for good measure, with our #1 and #2 starters on the mound isn't unreasonable and would put the Pirates right back up only one game under .500...before they go to their own personal El Guapo that is Chicago.
- The Pirates, like the Steelers, are getting a White House tour on Wednesday. Of course the Pirates have to pay the admission fee and don't get to meet the President, but hey.
- Jack Wilson was voted as having a #1 webgem on ESPN. Stay tuned as I'm sure this will be made into a bobblehead in the near future.
- A little slow on the Pens news since Game 2 doesn't start til next fall with this NBA-esque schedule. Both papers had articles on Kunitz and the worst scoring dryspell I've seen since this guy's. Trib here, P-G here. Maybe Kunitz can at least get a dry hump tomorrow night.
